Safety First: Ensuring your pet’s safety under anesthesia is of utmost importance. Before surgery, we require that appropriate bloodwork and other lab tests are performed to minimize the likelihood of complications while your pet is undergoing their operation. We will also listen very closely to your pet’s heart and lungs to make sure that they can tolerate anesthesia. If there are any concerns such as a heart murmur, we may recommend x-rays or even seeing a cardiologist for an echocardiogram to ensure that your pet’s heart can handle anesthesia.
